俄亥俄大学 students interested in exploring biodiversity and ecology in Panama must attend an information session in September with College of Arts & Sciences Professors 威廉Roosenburg and 哈维·巴拉德 to find out more about PBIO 4850/BIOS 4900 巴拿马热带生物学项目, a field course where students will spend spring break 2023 in Panama.

"This course include pre-departure lectures before spring break so we'll get to know each other before we depart, and we'll be ready to dive into the field work once we hit the ground in Panama," Ballard, professor of 环境与植物生物学, said. “我们将进行野外徒步旅行，了解常见的动植物、自然历史、进化原理和营养相互作用，并讨论不同陆地栖息地的社区组织。”

"We'll be investigating biological diversity, basic ecological principles, evolutionary pattern and process, cross-species interactions, and current conservation issues effecting terrestrial and marine tropical environments," Roosenburg, professor of 生物科学, said
