Now in its fifth year, the 雅典 Juneteenth Festival is co-hosted by 俄亥俄大学, the city of 雅典, the 雅典县基金会, the 雅典 全国有色人种协进会, the 阿巴拉契亚种族平等联盟 and the 锡安山黑人文化中心, marking a shift toward deeper community ownership and participation.
今年的庆祝活动充满了节日气氛，适合所有年龄的人。 参加者可以享受免费食物、现场音乐、儿童活动、社区摊贩和突出当地和地区黑人历史的教育摊位。 Before the festival, community members are invited to join the 锡安山黑人文化中心 for its Heritage Square Tour, showcasing Black history in uptown 雅典, at 10 a.m., followed by a visit to the Tablertown有色人种博物馆 in Stewart, Ohio, at 12:15 p.m. (注册要求). 该活动免费向公众开放。
